5. Click the Add button, under the IP Addresses field, to open the TCP/IP Address dialog box.
Enter the non-resolvable IP address for the WebLinx Server. Then, tab and enter the IP address
for the Subnet Mask (like 255.255.255.0). Click Add to save the second non-resolvable IP
address.
The local (static) IP address and non-resolvable IP address must be dissimilar. For example, the
local IP address may be 12.128.26.123, and the non-resolvable IP address should look like
192.168.100.100.
6. Click the Add button, under the Gateways field, to open the TCP/IP Gateway Address dialog
box. Enter the Gateway IP address (like 192.168.26.2) supplied by your ISP, and click Add to
save the IP address. Then, click OK to return to the Microsoft TCP/IP Properties dialog box.
7. Click the DNS tab and enter the PC's name or IP address in the Host Name field, and domain
name in the Domain field. Then, enter the DNS address supplied by your ISP.
8. Close all open dialog boxes and return to the desktop. Then, reboot the PC to save the PC
configuration changes to the operating system.
When the boot-up is complete and the desktop opens, verify the new IP addresses are correct as
described in these steps. You should record all the IP addresses in the WebLinx Configuration
Log to prepare for setting up the system links in the Administrator program.
If a WINS message opens, prompting your for an address, click Yes to continue. The
WINS functionality is not required for the WebLinx system.
9. Set the AXB-NET device's Local IP, Subnet Mask, and Gateway addresses with the NET
CONFIG AxcessX program command. The AxcessX program must be in Terminal Emulator
