Troubleshooting

Consult the following table for troubleshooting information.

Problem
Communication between the AXB-NET
and WebLinx Server PC is not working.
I'm sending WebLinx commands to the
Central Controller and nothing happens.
Reset Server button does not update
correctly with new/revised settings.
Encountering problems opening and
accessing WebLinx pages.
Internet communication is not working
properly after configuring the NICs.
The user cannot perform operations in
Administrator which would require writ-
ing to the disk (setting preferences, add-
ing/modifying/deleting a user, uploading
a file).
File transfer does not work.
The following IE Script Error occurred:

Troubleshooting
Solution
Refer to the Getting Connected section on
page 9 to ensure the IP addresses for the
AXB-NET and WebLinx Server PC match. If
not, resolve the mismatch.
Verify there is a WebLinx=XXX (1-255) code
line located in the Define_Device section of
the program installed in the target Central
Controller.Verify the WebLinx device number
matches the plpdev value in the Const.inc
program. If they do match, make sure the
WebLinx device number for the Central Con-
troller and WebLinx Server link is not already
assigned to another device on the bus. If it is,
choose an unassigned device number and
update the Axcess program and link settings.
Disable page caching in Control Panel/Inter-
net Options, and clear the Temporary Inter-
net Files and History files. Then, close and
open the page to update the cache memory.
Locate IEs Temporary Internet files settings,
and set it to automatically refresh cache
memory every time you open a page.
Check the Proxy settings and contact your
ISP and/or IT department to verify the
addresses are correct.
Verify Internet Guest account permissions on
the drive:
\InetPub\WWWRoot\WebLinx\directory.

Administrator section on page 4 for more
information.
Install the webserver (PWS or IIS) and
WebLinx Server in the same secure com-
puter.
An attempt to perform an operation was
made before the page was completely
loaded (likely that the loading of the page
was slowed due to database activity).
Wait a second and try again.
