Diagnostics

The Diagnostics tools you can employ on linked AXB-NET/Central Controller systems include
generating equipment/program status listings, sending device- and system-specific Axcess control
commands, and also a common group of commands that check available memory, set date/time,
etc.
Since there are so many different Axcess products and command sets, you should have a copy of
the Axcess Programming Language and product-specific instruction manuals on hand to send
properly constructed Axcess commands to the system and/or its devices. You can also use the AMX
Control Disc's Product Publications CD that contains a complete set of all Axcess product
instruction manuals. If you don't have the AMX Control Disc set, contact your AMX sales
representative and they'll send the set to you.

Generating equipment listings by version

Use the Version option to poll the linked system and generate a list of its Axcess equipment, their
device numbers, and program names.
The total time required to poll and populate the display field varies depending on Internet traffic
and communication speeds.
1. Click Diagnostics on the main page.
2. Click Version to open the Version field, and after a brief moment, display a list of the Axcess
devices and their assigned device numbers. You can use the scroll bar to review the list. Then,
click Back to Main.

Generating equipment listings by device number

The Show Device option polls the linked system and generates a list of programmed devices on the
Axcess bus, and devices not programmed on the bus.
1. Click Diagnostics on the main page.
2. Click Show Device to open the Show Device field, and after a brief moment, display a list of
the Axcess devices by programmed device numbers. You can use the scroll bar to review the
data. Then, click Back to Main.

Generating compare-device listings

The Compare Device option polls the linked system and generates a list of programmed, and not
programmed Axcess devices.
1. Click Diagnostics on the main page.
2. Click Compare Device to open the Compare Device field, and after a brief moment, display a
list of the Axcess devices that are or are not programmed. Use the scroll bar to review the data.
Then, click Back to Main.
