13. Click Set System to set the active system. Then, the control/communication links are
established between the WebLinx Server and system. Once the server and system are set and
communicating properly, you can perform all the operations described in this section.
Server Links
The Server Links page lists detailed information about each system you can link to the WebLinx
Server. You can edit and/or delete these links as required. There are also options on the page to add
new system links, reset the server to update link information, and shut down the server.
Adding new system links
When a system's AXB-NET device is programmed with a non-resolvable IP address, it can be
easily linked to a WebLinx Server.
1. Click Server Links on the main page.
2. Click New Link to open the Link Information page. The populated fields are default settings.
3. Click AXB-NET (default) or NetLinx in the Link Type drop-down menu.
4. Enter the name of the target system in the Logical Link Name field.
5. Enter the AXB-NET or NetLinx device's non-resolvable IP address in the Host Address field.
6. Enter the programmed device number assigned to the WebLinx Server. The number you enter
must match the WLSERVER=<1-255> value (for Axcess), or <1-32,000> (for NetLinx) used
in the Axcess program installed in the Central Controller. This number identifies where the
WebLinx Server resides on the AXlink bus and where to send/receive control and
communication data.
7. Ensure that the port number is 1 and select the System tray icon check box to ensure that an
icon is placed in the Windows system tray.
8. Enter the System number for the target system. This number should start at 1 for the first
system, and increment by one for each new system. This number is arbitrary, too.
9. Click Update to save the server-system link information and return to the Server Links page.
10. Click Reset Server to update the WebLinx Server with the new link information. The new
server link configuration should appear in the Server Links page.
11. Click Back to Main.
