Design Guide for the Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise – Mobile IP Touch
Configuration cradle:
One MIPT set configuration at a time
One slot per MIPT set type.
MIPT set configuration via Windows-PC (RS-232 serial
interface to PC).
Direct upload or download from/to the MIPT set flash
memory.
Store multiple configurations to support different user profiles
The cradle has 3 levels of device configuration (global or
individual).
Each level represents a particular configuration file that can
be loaded from or sent to a MIPT set.
System Level
Changes configuration parameters/settings common to all
phones. E.g., WEP/WPA Keys, SSIDs, Subnet Mask, etc.
Group Level
Changes configuration parameters/settings common to a
group of MIPT sets. Ex for MIPT 600: PTT (Push To Talk)
enable/disable or PTT channels.
Phone Level
Changes configuration parameters/settings unique to an
individual telephone. E.g., extension numbers, static IP
addresses, and/or ring tones.
Customizable Rings on MIPT 300 and 600:
Ring Tone, Ring Delay, Ring Cadence and Vibrate Cadence parameters can all be adjusted independently to
meet individual call notification preferences.
Ring Volume on MIPT 600
Ring Volume is adjustable only on the MIPT 600.
Icon Display on MIPT 300 & 600
Icons are available on the MIPT 300/600 display to indicate the present RF
Signal Strength and the Battery Power Level.
