In the command format:

cddrive is the drive letter for your CD-ROM drive
•
LG is the language code for your Windows version
•
outputfile is the name of the file to hold the results. You can specify any name
for the file.
5. Eject the CD-ROM.
For example, the following command produces a file named hotfixlist.txt in the current
directory of your command prompt window. The file contains a list of all hotfixes for the
English versions of Windows Server 2003:
dir D:\Bin\Hotfix\*EN* > hotfixlist.txt
