You can connect an extension telephone to the UX-114. if the telephone is
a touch-tone telephone, you can use it to activate fax reception by pressing
1,~,1 and II*!!.
A touch-tone extension telephone connected to a walljack can also be used to activate fax
reception.

Although pulse dial (rotan'} telephones can be connected to the fax machine to receii~e
