    This is the telephone jack commonly used in most homes and offices. • Plugging the fax machine into a jack which is not an jack may result in damage to the machine or your telephone system. If you do not know what kind of jack you have, or needed to have one installed, contact the telephone company.
  • Page 7 Rotate the original document support so that it points straight out. 4. Loading the fax paper • Your fax machine prints incoming faxes on a special kind of paper called thermal paper. • The fax’s print head creates text and images by applying heat to the thermal paper.
