4-16. Adjusting the needle stop position

WARNING :
To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to start the
following work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.

(1) Stop position after thread trimming
) The standard needle stop poston s obtaned
by algnng marker dot A on the machne arm
wth whte marker dot B on the handwheel.
2) Stop the needle n UP poston, turn OFF
the power, and loosen screw 3 to perform
adjustment wthn the slot of the screw. The
needle stop tmng s advanced f you move
the screw n the drecton of C .
The needle stop tmng s delayed f you move
the screw n the drecton of D .
Do not operate the machine with screw 1
loosened. Just loosen the screw, and do
not remove it.
(2) Lower stop position
) The DOWN needle stop poston when the
pedal s returned to the neutral poston after
the front part of the pedal s depressed can be
adjusted the same as UP stop. Stop needle
2 n DOWN poston, turn OFF the power,
and loosen screw 3 to perform adjustment
wthn the slot of the screw. The needle stop
tmng s advanced f you move the screw n
the drecton of E , and the tmng s delayed f
you move the screw n the drecton of F .
Do not operate the machine with screw 3
loosened. Just loosen the screw, and do
not remove it.
