    3. INSTALLATION 3-1. Removing the bed fixing bolt Remove bed fixing bolt 1 . Ths bolt s necessary to transport the sewng machne. 3-2. Adjusting the safety switch In case error 302 occurs when the sewng machne works after setup, loosen the safety switch fitting screw wth a screwdrver, and lower the swtch 2 to the downsde of the sewng machne.

Needle thread clamp device By actuatng the needle thread clamp devce, trouble of sewng at the hgh-speed start (needle thread slp-off, sttch skppng or needle thread stan) s prevented, and can reduce gatherng (brd's nest) of needle thread on the wrong sde of cloth whle keepng stable sewng. When mountng the IP-420, changeover of moton ON/OFF s performed wth key.

When the needle thread length s too long, the needle thread end held wth the needle thread clamp may be rolled n the seams. 1) In case of wth the needle thread clamp, the standard of the length of needle thread s 40 to 50 mm.

    2-7. Checking pattern shape WARNING : Make sure without fail of the contour of the sewing pattern after selection of the sewing pattern. If the sewing pattern extends outside the work clamp feet, the needle will interfere with the work clamp.
