The instant recovery procedure is the same as without RAC.
However, if instant recovery is to be performed to some other node than the one that
was backed up, the following procedure must be performed before the standard
instant recovery procedure:
1.
Make sure that the MC/SG virtual package is running on the target node.
2.
Set the OB2BARHOSTNAME environment variable as the virtual hostname before
running the configuration from the command line:
export OB2BARHOSTNAME=virtual_hostname

Instant recovery using the Data Protector GUI

To perform an instant recovery:
1.
Shut down the Oracle database instance using sqlplus. In case of RAC, shut
down all instances.
For example:
sqlplus
sql> shutdown immediate
sql> exit
2.
In the Context List, click Instant Recovery.
3.
Expand Oracle Server and select the ZDB-to-disk or ZDB-to-disk+tape session
from which you want to perform the restore.
