Sys/Ctrl Background The SYS/CTRL stores constants in flash
PCA memory, U20, which are transferred to RAM for use in
operation.
Failure For this error to occur, the constants may be
improperly stored in the SYS/CTRL RAM or flash.
Correction This might happen if there is a problem with
SYS/CTRL power supply, RAMs, or the SYS/CTRL U20
flash chip itself.
Sys/Ctrl Background The Ethernet controller (SYS/CTRL
PCA U17) supports 10/100BASET transceiver operation.
Failure For this error to occur, the self-test that
simulates Ethernet activity has to fail.
Correction Check Ethernet operation using both
10/100BASE-T. If the Ethernet interface operates over
10BASE-T but not 100 Base-T, then the Ethernet
transceiver SYS/CTRL T1is suspect. If Ethernet does
not operate over 10 or 100Base-T interface, then
SYS/CTRL U17 is suspect. Also, check SYS/CTRL U20
for I/O and memory decoding. See "Troubleshooting the
Digital Kernel" for more information.
