A2 Display
Background The SYS/CTRL microprocessor requests
PCA
the A2 Display PCA to run a self-test and report the
[Note 1]
results.
Failure For this error to occur, the A2 Display PCA is
able to communicate with Sys/Ctrl microprocessor but
the Display self-test is "fail."
Correction Almost certainly the A2 Display PCA has a
problem. Refer to paragraph "A2 Display PCA
Troubleshooting."
A2 Display
Background The SYS/CTRL microprocessor requests
PCA
the A2 Display PCA to run a self-test and report the
[Note 1]
results.
Failure For this error to occur, the A2 Display PCA did
not respond to the SYS/CTRL microprocessor request to
run a self-test. Neither "pass" nor "fail" was reported as if
the A2 Display PCA is dead or missing.
Correction Check the ribbon-cable connection, P8,
between Backplane and the display board. Also, check
back to the P7 connector on the SYS/CTRL PCA. Check
the power supply levels to the A2 Display PCA. Refer to
paragraph "A2 Display PCA Troubleshooting.
Module
Background Each module of the 2680A/2686A
PCA
contains its own calibration constants on the A/D Power
daughter card. The A/D U7 FLASH memory device
contains the calibration constants. The calibration
constants are used by the A/D converter.
Failure For this error to occur, the calibration constants
stored in A/D Power PCA U7 have become corrupted.
Correction If the only problem is calibration values,
start the calibration procedures in Chapter 5. One other
possibility is a A/D Power PCA U7 device failure.
