SPARK ARRESTER
SCREEN
NOTE: A cbgged
spark attester screen will dramatically
reduce engine performance.
1.
Remove the 3 boits (A) and pull muffbr out. (Fig. 28).
2.
Remove the 2 screws (B) that hoid the spark attester
cover (C) (Fig. 29).
3.
Discard the used spark attester screen (D) and
repiace it with a new one.
4.
Reasembb the muffler components
and install the
muffler to the cyiinder. Tighten secureiy.
SPARK
PLUG
NOTE: For efficient operation of saw engine, spark piug
must be kept dean and properiy gapped.
1.
Push STOP switch down.
2.
Remove air cbaner cover.
3.
Disconnect the wire connector (G) from the spark piug
(H) by pulling and twisting at the same time (Fig. 30).
4.
Remove spark piug with spark piug socket wrench.
DO NOT USE ANY OTHER TOOL.

5.
Check ebcttrode
gaps with wire feeler gauge and set
gaps to .025" (.635mm) if necessary.
6.
Reinstall a new spark plug.
NOTE: A resistor spark plug must be used for
replacement
(part no. 9295-310502).
NOTE: This spark ignition system meets all requirements
of the Canadian Interferen-Causing
Equipment
Regulations.

CARBURETOR
ADJUSTMENT
The carburetor was pre-set at the factory for optimum
performance.
