Control keys for a PIONEER LD Player and VCR bearing the
_
mark
If your LD Player or VCR isa PIONEER model bearing the _
marking, your remotecontrolunit can performmost basicoperations
without remote control code programming
The TRANSMIT MODE switch is used to select whether the programmable remote controlunit operation keys will iunotion as LD
or VCR control keys.
LD Player Control
(:_ Set the LEARN MODE switch to SR RECALL.
After presetting the remote controlcodes of theprogrammable
remote control unit. set the switch to SR RECALL.
Set the TRANSMIT MODE switch to LD.

Press the LD POWER key to turn the power on.
Then press the LD INPUT SELECTOR key to set the input
selector of the monitor to LD.

key
Press the _ side of the key to search in the forward direc-
tion while playing back the videodisc
Press the .._ side of thp key to search in the reverse direc-
tion while playing back the videodisc
(_) Play (1_) key
Press to begin playback.

Stop/EJect (ml-- & ) key
Press once to stop playback, twice to eject the disc.

PauselStiU (11/_.1<) key
Press to interruptvideodisc playback temporarily. Pressthe
button again to resume playback.
Chapter Skip Key ('_,/--_)
Press the _
side of the key to skip directlyto begining of
the next chapter, press the k_ side to skip directly back to
the beginning of the chapter currently in play. Thisoperation
can only be performed on an LD Player with chapter skip
function.

VCR Control

Set the LEARN MODE switch to SR RECALL.
Afterpresetting the remotecontrolcodes of theprogrammable
remote control unit,tsar the switch to SR RECALL.

Set the TRANSMIT MODE awltch to VCRt.
Press the VCR1 POWER key
To turn the power on. Then press theVIDEO INPUT SELEC-
TOR key to set the input selector of the monitor to VIDEO,
Rewind/Fast Forwaed (_.,,h.-_) key
This key a{Iows high-speed movement through parts of the
tape that you don't wish to watch. Press the left side of the
key to rewind the tape, and the right side to advance.
During playback, use this key to search visually Iorward or
backward
Keep pressing the left or right side of the key untilthe section
you wish to watch appears, then release it to resume normal
speed playback.
Play (1_)
Press to begin playback.

Stop/Eject (z/A)
key
Press once to stop playback.
• Eject functionwill be performed only if your VCR is equip-
pad with the remote control eject function.

Temporarilyinterruptsrecordingor playback, producinga still
picture during playback,
