Powering the Camera

The following explains how to load and charge the battery and how to use a home
power outlet as the power source.

Loading the Battery

Load the battery (rechargeable type lithium ion battery) and operate the camera.

• Always charge the battery when using it for the first time. (The battery is

q Make sure the camera power is turned
off, then open the battery cover by
pressing down and sliding.
