Basic Shooting

This section explains the general flow of shooting operation, and provides basic
shooting instructions.

Operation Flow

To record an image, follow the steps below:
Turn on the Camera
Slide the power switch to turn the camera on and set the mode dial to

Select a PIC (Image quality) Mode
Choose from 9 picture modes (1600F, 1600N, 1600E, 800F, 800N,
800E, 640F, 640N, 640E) (p.42).
Select a Recording Mode
Choose from four recording modes (

Set the Size of the Subject
Use the

Check the position of the subject on the viewfinder or on the LCD
