Troubleshooting
If you run into any problems using your
camcorder, use tile following table to
troubleshoot the problem. If the problmn
persists, discom_ect the power source and
contact your Sony dealer.

The
power
does
not turn
on.

The camcorder
does
not operate
even
when
the power
is set to on.
• Disconnect
tilL' AC Adaptor

reconnect
it after about
1 minute.

button (p. 91) using a
sharp-pointed

Buttons do not work.

buttons are functional (p. 21 ).
Settings
change
during
Easy
Handycam
operation.
• During Easy Hand3cam
operation,
the
settings of the fimctions
that are not
displayed
on the screen return to their
defaults
(p. 211,35).
The menu item settings have
changed unexpectedly.
• The follo_ing settings return to tile default
settings automatically when you set the
POWER switch to OFF (CHG) R)r more
than 12 hours.

The camcorder gets warm.
• The
camcorder
may

The supplied Remote Commander
does not function.
• Set [REMOTE CTRL] to [ON] (p. 52).
• Remove any obstructions between the
Remote Counnander and the remote sensor.
• Keep strong light sources, such as sunlight
or overhe id lighting, away from the remote
sensor, otherwise the Remote Con/mander
may not function properly.
• Insert a fresh battery in Ihe compartment
with its+/
terminalsmatchingthoseofthe
compartment (p. 86).
Another VCR malfunctions
when you
use the supplied Remote
Commander.
• Select a commander mode ()tilerthan VTR
2 lbr your VCR.
