Onuseandcare
• Do not tlse or store the C_llncorder _llld Llccessories
in the lbllowing locations.
Anywhere extremdy hot or cold. Never leave
them exposed to temperatures above 60°C
/140°F), such as under direct sunlight, near
heaters or in a car parked in tile sun, They may
malfimction or become delbrmed.
Near strong magnetic fields or mechanical
vibration. The camcorder may malflmction.
Near strong radio waves or radiation. The
camcorder may not be able to record properly.
Near AM receivers and video equipment. Noise
may occllr.
On a sandy beach or anywhere dusty. If sand or
(lust gets in your camcorder, it may
malfimction. Sometimes Ibis mallhnction
cannot be rq)aired.
Near windows or outdoors, where the LCD
screen, tile viewfinder, or the lens may be
exposed to direct sunlight. This damages the
inskle of the vicwfinder or the LCD screcn.
Anywhere very lmmid.
• Operate your camcorder on DC 7.2 V (battely
pack) or DC 8.4 V/AC Adaptor).
• For DC or AC operation, use the accessories
rccolnlllended in the_ hlstrtlction nlanual.
• Do not let your camcorder get w-el, ]br cxample,

raill or sea water. If your canlcorder gets weL
it may malfimction. Sometimes this malfimction
cannot be repaired.
• If any solid ot>jec( or liquid gets inside file casing,
unplug your camcorder and have it cbecked by a
Sony dealer belbrc operating it any lhrtfier.
• Avoid rougll handling, disas_mbling, modil}?ing,
physical shock, or impact such as hanmlering,
dropping or stepping on the product. Be
particularly carefifl of the lens.
• Keep file POWER switch seuing to OFF/CHG)

heat to build up inside.

Moisture condensation
If your camcorder is brought directly from a
cold place to a warm place, moisture may
condense inside your camcorder, on the
surface of the disc. or on the pickup lens. This
may cause a real f/lnctioll to your camcorder.
If there is moisture inside your camcorder.

appears.
The indication will not appear when the
moisture condenses on the camera lens.

Turn oil your camcoMer, and le:ue it lor
about an hour.
N Note on moisture condensation
Moisture may condense when you bring your
camcorder from a cold place into a warm
place (or vice versa) or when you use your
camcorder in a humid place as Mlows:
• You bring your camcorder liom a ski slope into a
place warmed up by a heating device.
• You bring your camcorder flom an air conditioned

place outside,
