Important: Themulching plug should be removed only when bagging is desired, and should be replaced as soon as bag- ging operations are completed.

The engine is set at the best speed for cutting grass, bagging grass, and for extended engine life. -

¢D ¢D Operate a walk-behind mower across the face of slopes, never up or down slopes. Operate a riding mower up or down slopes, never across the face of slopes. 10 DEGREES 15 DEGREES On a riding mower to determine if a slope is safe to mow: (1) disengage the blade(s), (2) put the unit in reverse, and (3) try to back straight up the slope, if you can back up the slope, it is generally safe to mow. - Page 24 (temperature, humidity, altitude), and engine-to-engine variability.
