Point the Remote in the Right Direction and Put it in DVD or VCR Mode
When you want the remote to operate the DVD/VCfi player, point the remote at the DVD/VCR, not the
TV. The remote has to be pointed in the colrect
dhection
and towald the correct component
in order
for the remote conbol's
signal to communicate
with the sensor on the component.
Make sure there is a
clear path between the remote control and the component
you want to operate, so the signal isn't
blocked,
Turn on the TV and DVDt_/CR
1. Turn on your TV and tune it to the colrect Video Input Channel.
o If you used a coaxial cable to connect 'four DVD/VCR to your TV, tune the TV to channel 3. Your
TV must be set to channel 3 the first time you set up the DVD_v'CR.See page 34 for instructions
on how to change the output channel once you have stalted
setup.
o If you used audio/video
cables to connect 'four DVD/\/CR, tune the TV to its Video Input Channel
(see page 60 for help),

Press the DVD or VCR button
to tuln on the DVD/VCR.
o For DVD functions,
press the DVD button.
o For VCR functions,
press the VCR button.
