Protect
Against
Power Surges
o
Cormect all components
before you plug any of their power cords into the ,wall outlet.
o
Turn off the TV and/or components
before you cormect or disconnect
any cables.
o
Make sure all antennas and cables are properly grounded.
Refer to the Important
Safeguards sheet
packed with your DVD/VCR.
Protect
Components
from
Overheating
o
Don't block ventilation
holes on any of the componerlts. Arrange the components
so that air can
cheulate fl'eely,
o
Don't stack components.
o
When you place components
[n a stand, make sure you allow adequate ventilation.
o
If you connect an audio receiver or amplifier,
place [t on the top shelf so the heated ah from [t
won't flow around other components.
Position
Cables Properly
to Avoid
Audio
mnterference
o
Insert each cable firmly into the designated jack.
o
If you place components
above the TV, route all cables down the side of the back of the W instead
of straight down the middle of the back of the TV.
o
If,/our
antenna uses 300-ohm
twin lead cables, do not coil the cables. Also, keep the twin lead
cables away from audio/video
cables.
