Use the number
buttons
to enter the actual
VCR channel
on
which you receive the station.
For example,
if your VCR
receives
HBO on channel
27, enter the number
"27" next to
the VCR Plus+ guide channel
for HBO.
If you are using
a cable box that
the VCR cannot
control,
enter
the channel
on which your cable box sends signals
to
your VCR (usually
channel
3 or 4).
To change
more guide channel
numbers:
repeat
steps 0
and
_.
When you are finished,
press the MF, NU button
three
times to exit the menus.

Recording acurrentbroadcast
Before you begin, you need to know how:
• to view the picture
coming from your VCR. (See page 23.)
To record a TV program
that is currently
playing:

Load a tape that
has not ihad its erasure:
tab removed[ into the
VCR. If you hawe not yet; recorded
on this tape, then the VCR
will test the tape with the PerfecTape
feature.

Set the VCR's input to tuner.
To do this
press the INPUT
button
on the front panel or on the remote
until the channel
display
shows on-screen
or on the front i?anel.

done so, set the ;_peed at which you
would like to record. (See "Selecting

and video functions"
on page 27.)

Select the channel
you would like to rec!)rd by using
the
CHANNEL
button
or the jog dial on tlhe front panel. (If you
are using a cable box that the VCR cam:_ot control,
select
channel
3 or 4 on the VCR, and change
l_he channel
en the
cable box, not on the VCP.)
