1. Tostopthe wheels, release thedrivecontrol.
2 Tostopthrowing snow,releasetheaugercontrol.

The Snow
CAUTION: C hecktheareato be clearedforforeignobjects_ Remove
foreignobjects,ifany
1 Startthe engine following startinginstructions.
2 Allowthe enginetowarmupfor a fewminutesasthe engine will
notdevelop full power u ntilit reaches operating temperature.
3. Rotatethechuteassembly to thedesireddirection, a wayfrom
bystanders and/orbuildings
4 Making certainnobystanders or obstacles areinfrontof theunit,
squeeze the augercontrolcompielety against t heupperhandleto
fully engage theaugers.
5 Whilethe augercontrolis engaged, s queeze the drivecontrol
completely against t he upperhandletoengagethewheelsDonot
=feather" theddveconlrol_
6 Asthesnowthrower startsto move,maintain a firmholdon the
handle,andguidethe snowthroweralongthepathto be cleared
7 Release theaugerand drivecontrolstostopthe snowthrowing
actionand forward motion
NOTE:Yourunitis equipped wilha clutchin thetransmission.. If the
wheelsstopturningwhiletryingto discharge largevolumesofsnow,
immediately d isengage the drivecontrolandallowtherotatingaugers
to discharge snow fromthehousing.Reduce theclearingwidthand
continue operation.
8 On eachsucceeding pass, r eadjust t he chuteassembly to the
desiredpositionandslightlyoverlap thepreviously clearedpath
Positioning Discharge Chute
Loosen thechuteknobandpivot u pperchute to desired position.. Tighten
thechuteknobmaking surethecarriage boltiscorrectly positioned
Rotatechute handletodesiredoperatingposition
Donot lift thesnowthroweratanytimebythechutehandle..
Operating
Tips
1. Formostefficient s nowremoval, remove snow immediately a fter itfalls.
2.. Discharge snowdownwind whenever possibleSlightlyoverlap
eachprevious path
3 Settheskidshoes1/4"belowtheshaveplatefor normal u sage
The skidshoesmaybe adjusted upwardforhard-packed snow.
NOTE:it is netrecommended t hatyouoperatethissnowthrower on
gravelasloosegravel c anbe easilypickedup andthrownbythe auger
causingpersonal i njuryandtordamagetothesnowthrower
4 If for somereason,youhaveto operatethesnowthroweron gravel,
keepthe skidshoein the highest p osition for maximum clearance
between thegroundandtheshaveplate.

usethis toolto safelycleanthechuteand chuteopening Follow the
stepsbelowtooperateit..
Stopengineby moving throttleleverto stop_
position and wait f or
all movingpartsto stopbeforeusingthe clean-out t ool.
1 Release bothauger and drivecontrols
2 Stoplhe engineby moving throttle leverto stop_
position
3 Remove theclean-out t oolfrom theclipwhichsecures it to the rear
ofthe augerhousing.
4. Usethe shovel-shaped e ndoftheclean-outtool t o dislodgeand
scoopanysnowandicewhich hasformedin andnearthe chute
assembly
