This section
contains
descriptions
for each video setting
and
explains
how to adjust
them for the A/V memc,ry positions.

The "Tint"
function
provides
a scale that adjust,_ the proportion
of
red to green in the picture.
This determines
the delicate
tones of
color.
The "Color"
function
provides
a scale that determines
the inl:ensity
of the color.
The "Contrast"
function
provide,_ a scale that controls
the level of
white-to-black
in the picture.
When the contrast
is low, you are
able to see the variety
of shades
in the darker
images
on the screen.
When the contrast
is high, the screen's
dark images
appear
more
uniformly
black. This makes the colors on the screen seem more
vibrant.
The "Brightness"
function
provides
a scale thai; controls
the
overall
brightness
of the picture.
The "Sharpness"
function
provides
a scale that adjusts
the detail
and clarity
of the picture.
Use the "Noise
reduce"
function
to reduce
the _ainy
or snowy
images
that can occur with weak signals.
This function
can be
turned
on or off.
• Set this function
to "Off' during
normal
TV viewing.
• Set this function
to "On" if you are receiving
a weak signal
with
a grainy or snowy picture.
The "Color
Temp."
(Color
temperature)
function
allows you to
set how the TV displays
white images.
Your choices are "Low,"
"High," or "Middle."
• With the "High"
setting,
white images
have a blue cast to them.
• With the "Middle"
setting,
wlhite images
are balanced
between
yellow and blue.
• With the "Low,
6500K"
setting,
white images have a yellow
cast to them. Among these
three color temperature
settings,
this
is the closest to the 6500 degrees
K stand_.rd.
Use the "Color
Bias" function
to help your TV :reproduce
colors,
especially
skin tones, as realistically
as possible. You can set this
function
to "Accurate,"
"Average,"
or "Skin TGne."
