loading a tapefor programming
If, after programming, you forget to load a tape, or if you load a
tape with its erasure tab removed, then the )rogrammed record-
ing light and the tape status symbol will fla_.h. A tape without an
erasure tab will be ejected. _b correct this: load a tape with its
erasure tab intact, and turn offthe VCR.
using the satellite receiver
If you are using a RCA or Sony satellite receiver, your VCR can
automatically turn the receiver on and off when it is time for a
programmed recording. However, if you are using a
PRIMESTAR ® receiver, you will have to turn the receive:: on
before the programmed recording begins.
Before turning off the VCR to put your VC,R in stand-by fbr
recording, make sure that the satellite receiver' menu turns off.

If the VCR is without power for 30 second;s _:,rless, it will retain
the time and the programmed settings, provided the VCR has
been plugged in for at least an hour beforehand. If the power is
lost for more than 30 seconds, the time and _he programmed
settings will be lost.
