If you enter a number
incorrectly,
press the CANCEL :button
on the remote
control. When you have finished
entering
the
PlusCode
number,
press the ENTER
button.

Use the ADJUST
buttons
to select whether
you want to
record your program
once. daily, or weekly.
• If you choose "Once," your VCR will only record the show
once.
• If you choose "Daily," your VCR will record the same
channel
at the same time, Monday
thr¢:,ugh Friday.
• If you choose "Weekly,"
your VCR will record the same
channel
at the same time, on the same day, each week.
After you have made your choice, press the ENTER button.
If two programmed
recording
times overlap,
the message,
°_CR is
already
programmed
for that time" will disph_y on the screen. You
will need to erase
the previous; program
before you can enter the
new one. If the code number
you entered
is "_'ong, the message,
"VCR PlusCode,
Not a valid code" will display
on the screen.
The program
you have chosen to record will appear
in the
"recap" format,
and will flash for three seconds.

If you wish to change
the record speed, press the ENTER
button
repeatedly
until the record speed is; flashing.
Change
the recording
speed by pressing
the ADJUST
buttons.
When
finished,
press the ENTER
button
once more.

To program
additional
recording
times, select an empty
program
line by pressing
the ADJUST
buttons.
Then, press
the ENTER button.
You will return
to the VCR Plus+ "Pro-
gram to record" screen.
Continue
the VCR Plus+ program-
ming procedure
from step O.

When you are finished
with all programming,
turn the VCR
power OFF and make sure the programmed
recording
l:[ght is
lit. However,
if you have a cable box or a PRIMESTAR
®
receiver,
leave it turned
ON. Additionally,
if the HS-U270
does not control your cable box, leave the box tuned to tlhe
station
you wish to record. If you want to cancel the pro-
grammed
recording
after it started,
press the POWER
button
on the front panel.
Using One-Touch Recording(OTR)
One-Touch
Recording
(also called OTR) is a way to begin record-
ing immediately,
but have your' VCR stop recording
and turn off
automatically
after your show is over.
Beforeyou begin,you needto knowhow:
• to view the picture
coming from your VCR. (See page 23.)
Load a tape with its erasure
tab intact
into the VCR.
