Guides
for your area.
This list can be found in :/'IT Guide. Your local newspaper
of
cable company
may also be able to provide you with this list.
On a piece of paper,
prepare
a three-colunm
list. Place the
headings
"Co1.1," and "Col.2" at the top of the list.

In the center
column,
write the name of each channel
that you
can receive through
your antenna
or cable system.
In the
right column,
write down the number
on _hich
your VCR
receives
that
channel.

Using the VCR Plus+ Channel
Guide List you obtained
in
step O, write the VCR Plus+ Channel
Guide for each channel
in the left column.
When the numbers
in both columns
are the
same, mark
them with a check mark. (Note: the numbers
in
the illustration
are examples
only. Refe_: ta your list for the
correct numbers.)
If you are using a satellite
receiver,
write the name of each
channel
that you ('an receive through
your receiver.
In
column 2, write down the number
on which your receiver
receives
the channel.
If your satellite
system receives
more
than one version
of the same channel
!for example,
HBO1,
HBO2, etc.), check the time schedules
in your local listings
to
see which version
being li,;ted.
You can only set up the
particular
version
that is listed.
In your chart,
draw a line
through
the other versions.
Press the MENU
button
on the remote
control. Press the
ADJUST
buttons
to select "First Time Set-Up."
Press the
ENTER
button.
The "First Time Set-Up" menu appears
on your screen.
Press
the ADJUST
buttons
to select "Set VCR Plus+ Guides."
Press
the ENTER
button.

You will see the "Set VCR Plus+ Guides"
menu on your
screen.
In the "Plus Guide" column on the left is a list of the
VCR Plus+ guide channel
numbers
(frora column
1 of your
worksheet),
and in the "BOX Channel"
or "VCR Channel"
column on the right is a li,;t of the actual channels
your VCR
receives
in your home (from column 2 of your worksheet).
Beginning
with number
001, check the number
in the left
column of the VCR menu against
the lei% ,:'olumn of your list.
