Setting Phone Preferences

Using the Phone Preferences screens, you can customize the configuration of the phone portion
of your Kyocera smartphone. Your choices range from selecting ringer sounds to configuring the
phone for use on a network.

About preferences

Preferences allow you to adjust many of the features of your Kyocera smartphone. Using the
Preferences screens, you can set up all of the following:
Accessories
Change settings specific to headsets, car kits and TTY devices.
Set volumes for the earpiece, headset, hands-free car kit, and speakerphone.
Call Volume
Dialing
Specify the codes to be automatically dialed for long distance calls.
Display
Assign a banner name and specify auto-hyphenation.
Flip Settings
Specify the sounds and actions associated with opening and closing the flip.
Incoming Calls
Choose ringer types, volumes and categories.
Change the rate of speed at which your phone receives and sends data.
3G
Keypad
Set the Key Beep length, sound and volume, and the amount of time to keep the
keypad lit after the last keypress.
Phone Alerts
Specify the phone's actions for which you will receive an alert.
Switch between phone lines, choose roaming options, enable CHAP
Phone Service
authentication, force digital and analog modes, specify network sharing with
emergency services.
Power
Specify how and when the phone should power on and off automatically.
Restrict outgoing calls to specified emergency numbers, change the security lock
Security
code, erase recent calls list.
Voice Dialing
Enable automatic voice answer and voice wakeup for Hands-free Car Kits and
Headsets (sold separately).
