Storage Procedure
If you do not useyour scooterfor a longperiodof time, itwill needspecial
servicerequiring appropriatematerials, e quipmentand skill. Forthis reason,
we recommend thatyou trust this maintenance work to yourauthorized
servicecenter. Ifyou wish to servicethemachinefor storageyourself,follow
the generalguidelinesbelow:
VEHICLE
Placethe vehicleon levelgroundand washthe entirevehicle.
FUEL
Drain the fuel from the fuel tank by a hand pump. Drain the fuel from the
carburetor by releasing the carburetor drain screw.
Drainingthe fuel couldbe hazardous.
Fuelcouldcatchfire ifyou do not handleit properly.
Whendraining thefuel from thefuel tank, be suretoshuttheengineoff.
Donotsmoke, a nd never drainfuel inanareawherethereareopenflames
or sparks.Keeppetsand children awayfrom thefuel, anddispose ofthe
drained fuel properly.
TIRES
Inflatetires to the normalpressure.
EXTERNAL
1.
Sprayall vinyland rubberpartswith rubberprotection.
2.
Sprayunpaintedmetalsurfaceswith rust preventative.
3.
Coat paintedand plasticsurfaceswith carwax.
PROCEDURE FOR RETURNING TO SERVICE
1.
Cleanthe entirevehicle.
2.
Makesure thatthe vehicleis properlylubricated.
3.
Performthe INSPECTION BEFORERIDINGas listedin this manual.
4.
Startthevehicleas outlinedin this manual.
