BASIC OPERATION
(See Illustration [] .)
1 Press the TUNER/BAND button to set one of the
bands.

2 Check whether the manual tuning mode is se-
lected.
In the manual tuning mode, the preset number is not displayed.
((_ in the display shows the position of the preset number.)
If the preset number is displayed, press the I_ TUNING/
PRESET button so that the preset number goes out.
Press the ,,I,9 DOWN or D.=,,UP button to select a
station.
Each time it is pressed, the frequency is changed.
To search for a station quickly (Auto search)
Press the <1,11 DOWN or I_., UP button for 1to 2 seconds, and
a station is searched for automatically. After tuning in to a
station, the search stops.
The search may not stop at a station with a very weak signal.
When an FM stereo broadcast Is difficult to listen to
Press the FM MODE button on the remote control while pressing
the SHIFT button to extinguish "AUTO" in the display. _ See
illustration []. Background noise is reduced though the sound is
monaural.
To restore stereo reception, press it again.

PRESETTING S TATIONS
The unit can store a total of 32 stations. They can be tuned in to by
selecting their preset numbers. It is possible to store stations of any
band in the order of your choice. _ See illustration r_.
1 Select a band and station.

2 Press the II SET button to display a preset number.
The preset tuning mode is selected.
In the preset tuning mode, the preset number flashes. ((_ in
the display shows the preset number).
3 Press the .<.11DOWN or =,-=,- U P button to select a
preset number.
4 Press the II SET button to store the station.
The frequency flashes twice and the preset number (_ in the
display flashes once and goes out.
5 Repeat steps 1 to 4 for the next preset.
