BASIC OPERATION

Press the CD button.
Press the & OPEN/CLOSE button to open the disc
compartment.
3 Load a disc with the label side up.
To load an 8cm (3 in.) disc, put it onto the innercircle of the tray.
4 Press the & OPEN/CLOSE button to closethe disc
compartment.

This shows the track numbers.
When a disc contains 21 tracks or more, only 20 tracks are
displayed.
5 Press the I_ button to start play.
Play begins with the first track.
Q Number of track being played
Playingtime of track
Number of track being played flashes.
To stop play
Press the • button.
To stop and open the tray at the same time, press the ----OPEN/
CLOSE button.
To pause
Press the II button.
To resume play, press it again.
To check the remaining time
Press the DISPLAY button onthe remote control while pressing the
SHIFT button during playback. The amount of time remaininguntil
all tracks finish playing is displayed.
To restore the play time display, press the DISPLAY buttonwhile
pressingthe SHIFT button again.
Searching for a particular point in a track
You can locate a particular point ina track during play by monitoring
the high-speed cueing sound or observingthe CD counter in the
display.
Keep the _1_1DOWN or I=,,1_UP button pressedand release it at
the desired point.
Skipping to the beginning of a track
You can locate the beginningof any track on a disc.
Press the .91._ DOWN or I_D,, UP button repeatedly.
Do not place more than one compact disc on one disc tray at the
same time.
