$RMSRATMU

This environment variable specifies the MU number of a Business Copy or Snapshot volume for failover
testing. If the MU number value is specified through the P9000 Virtualization Adapter command
option [testMU=value], this variable is ignored. The default is MU number 0. The following examples
specify 1 as the MU number.
Windows example:
setx RMSRATMU 1 /m
UNIX example (bash):
export RMSRATMU=1
NOTE:
You must restart the Windows server to complete any changes.

Setting environment variables

The P9000 Virtualization Adapter must be configured to look for MU#1 for the Business Copy volume.
If it cannot find MU#1 on virtual machine 1 during failover testing, the Continuous Access pair is
suspended and used for failover testing. If it locates MU#1 at HORCM instance <X>+1, the Business
Copy volume is suspended and used for the test failover.
NOTE:
The Business Copy S-VOL must be presented on the same Fibre Channel port as the Business Copy
P-VOL or the UUID on the datastore changes. The ESX Server cannot attach it to the shadow virtual
machine for test failover unless the UUID matches.

Environment variables on the SRM host

Follow these steps to set the environment variables on the SRM host:
1.
Issue the following command to set the SplitReplication parameter to equal true:
setx SplitReplication true /m
2.
Issue the following command to set the RMSRATMU parameter to 1:
setx RMSRATMU 1 /m
3.
Reboot the SRM host.
4.
Verify that the variables are set correctly using the Set command.
