Removing The Product - HP XP20000/XP24000 Administrator's Manual

To upgrade the product:
1. Confirm that SRM is enabled and that the EventLog, vpxd and vmware-dr startup types are
set to automatic.
2. Download rmxpsra.exe from the HP web page (http://www.hp.com/go/storage/vmware)
and save it in a temporary folder.
3. Browse to the temporary folder and run rmxpsra.exe.
4. Restart the SRM service using the vmware-dr command:
C:\>net STOP vmware-dr
The VMware Site Recovery Manager Service service is stopping.
The VMware Site Recovery Manager Service service was stopped
successfully.
C:\>net START vmware-dr
The VMware Site Recovery Manager Service service is starting.
The VMware Site Recovery Manager Service service was started
successfully.
5. Set any environment variables. See
If you change any environment variables, restart the SRM service. See step 4.

Removing the product

To remove the product:
1. Remove the product using the Windows Add or Remove Programs window.
2. Restart VMware Site Recovery Manager Service by using the vmware-dr command:
C:\>net STOP vmware-dr
The VMware Site Recovery Manager Service service is stopping.
The VMware Site Recovery Manager Service service was stopped success-
fully.
C:\>net START vmware-dr
The VMware Site Recovery Manager Service service is starting.
The VMware Site Recovery Manager Service service was started success-
fully.
