"Active D Lighting" preserves details in highlights and shadows, creating
photographs with natural contrast. The image taken will reproduce the contrast
effect that is seen with the naked eye. This is particularly effective for shooting
brightly lit outdoor scenery from darker indoors or taking pictures of shaded
subjects
at a sunny
seaside.
