Features That Can Be Set Using the Multi Selector
Using the Self-timer
Tile self-timer is suitable for taking group pictures and reducing tile vibration when
tile shutter-release button is pressed.
When using tile selfitimeD use of a tripod is recommended. Set Vibration reduction
in tile setup menu (_108) to Off when using a tripod to stabiNze tile camera.
1 Press _1 (_ self-timer) on the multi selector.

• _Q)lOs (ten seconds): suitable for group pictures. [HI
• _Q)2s (two seconds): suitable for preventing camera
shake. _-
When the shooting mode is set to Pet portrait in °°

scene mode, l_i (pet portrait auto release) is displayed _o
(_52). The self-timer _)10s and _Q)2s are not available.
• The mode selected for the self-timer is displayed.
• If the _) button is not pressed within a few seconds, the selection win be canceled.
3 Frame the picture and press the shutter-release button halfway.
• Set the focus and exposure.
4 Pressthe shutter-release button all
the way.
• The sdf-timer starts, and the number of
seconds remaining before the shutter is
released is displayed. The sdf-timer [amp
flashes while the timer is counting down.
About one second before the shutter is
released, the lamp stops flashing and remains
lit.
• When the shutter is released, the self-timer
turns OFF.
• To stop the timer before a picture is taken,
press the shutter-rdease button again.
