Soundproblems
* Check the antenna/cable connections (_ Chapter
2).
. The station may have broadcast difficulties. Try
another channel.
. The sound may be muted. Press
VOLUME.
* [f you hear 11o sound, try setting the MTS feature
to
Stereo
mode (_:_vpage 45).
* [f you are not receiving a second audio program
from a known SAP source, make sure the NTS
feature is set to SAP mode (_v page 45).
. [f you hear audio that seems "incorrect" for the
program you are watching (such as music or a
foreign language), the SAP mode may be on. Set
the MTS feature to
Stereo
mode (_v page 45).
Remote control problems
• Make sure the remote control is set to the correct
device mode (_v page 22).
• Remove all obstructions between the remote
control and the TV.
• The remote control batteries may be dead.
Replace the batteries (_v page 21 ).
• Your TV remote control may not operate
certain features on your external device. Refer
to the owner's manual for your other device
to determine its available features. [f your TV
remote control does not operate a specific feature
on another device, use the remote control that
came with the device (_v pages 23-27).
• [f the TV still does not act as expected, use the
Reset Factory Defaults procedure (_v page 34).
Channeltuning proNems
• Make sure the remote control is set to the correct
device mode (_:_vpage 25).
• The channel may have been erased from the
channel memory by the Programming channels
automatically
feature. Add the channel to the
channel memory (_v page 31 ).
• The channel may be blocked by the
LOCK
feature. Unblock the channel (_v page 48).
• [f you are unable to tune digital channels, check
the antenna configuration (_v page 30). [f you
are still unable to tune digital channels, clear all
channels from the channel list and reprogram
channels into the channel memory (_v page 31 ).
[f you are still ramble to tune digital channels,
use the Reset Factory Defaults procedure (_v
page 34). Also see "TV stops responding to
controls" and "Other problems" (_v page 62).
Closedcaption problems
• [f the program or video you selected is not
closed-captioned, no captions will display (_:_
page 43).
• [f text is not available, a black rectangle may
appear. [f this happens, turn off the closed
caption feature (_:_ page 43).
• A closed-caption signal may not display
correctly in the following situations: a) when
a videotape has been dubbed; b) when the
signal reception is weak; or c) when the signal
reception is nonstandard (_:_ page 43).
Rating blocking (V-CNp) problems
• [f you forget your PIN code: While the PIN
RECALL
code entering screen is displayed, press ©
four times within 5 seconds. The PIN code you
previously stored will be cleared (_v page 46).
Ho REGZA-LIHR operation
• The REGZA-LINK feature is available for
Toshiba REGZA-LINK compatible devices.
• Make sure the HDM[ cables with the HDM[
Logo (Ib-II_'ll| _) are used.
• When the connected REGZA-LINK device
does not work correctly after you have changed
settings of the device, turn off your TV and
m_plug the power cord, then plug and turn on
again.
• [f several devices are connected, REGZA-LINK
feature may not operate properly.
• Read the instruction manual furnished with the
connected REGZA-LINK device.
HDNI problems
For HDMI cab/es
• Make sure to use cables with the HDM[ Logo
(l_..,_l[][_| '°) (_v page 13).
Network proNems
Cannot connect to network
• Check the Router with Hub and the TV
connections (_:_vpages 20).
• Make sure the Router with Hub is connected to
the TV's LAN port correctly (_:_vpage 20).
• Make sure your network address is set up correctly.
No network connection
• The LAN cables are not connected properly or at
all. Connect all cables ([:_vpages 20).
• Make sm'e the power cords of the all devices are
plugged ill
• Make sm'e your network address is set up
correctly ([:_v"Setting up the network address for
the LAN port").
