G. Troubleshooting
Refer to the symptoms and measures listed below before submiting the camera for repairs. If the
problem persists, contact your nearest Ricoh Service Center.
„Power Supply
Symptom
The power does not
Batteries are not loaded. Or they are

Cause
Load the batteries correctly. Recharge or use
the AC Adaptor.
Reconnect it properly.
Wait until the temperature of the camera
returns to normal. Do not attempt to cool the
camera suddenly.
Turn the power back on.
If you are using alkaline batteries, replace
them.
If you are using a rechargeable battery,
recharge it or use the AC adaptor.
Reload batteries.
If using the AC Adaptor, reconnect it.
Replace the batteries with a new set.
Cause
If using alkaline batteries, replace the batteries
with a new set.
If using rechargeable batteries, recharge or
use the AC Adaptor.
Turn the power on and turn the Mode Dial to
Shooting Mode.
Press the shutter button all the way.
Format the card.
Load a new card, or delete unwanted files.
Load a new SD Memory Card.
Wait until the flash lamp stops blinking.
Release the "Lock (write-protection)".
Wipe off with a soft, dry cloth.
