Black page copy service check

Step
1
Print a menu page, or a page from the host.
Is the page black?

Is the CCD ribbon cable properly connected
to J-CCD on the system board?

Check for +3.3VDC on pins 12 and 16 on
connector J-CCD. Pins 10 and 20 are
+5VDC. Pin 8 is +12VDC. Are the voltages
present?

Flatbed service check

Step
1
Check to see if the flatbed is locked. Is it
locked?

Ensure that the flatbed motor cable (JFB1)
is connected. Is the cable connected?

Check pin 1 in J-FB1 for voltage. The
voltage is only present when a copy job is
running. The voltage should measure 5V. Is
voltage present?

ADF streak service check
