Check the m emory card
-Cannot access the m emory card. Check the m emory card and make sure itis inserted cor-
rectly.
-A memory card error occurred. The camcorder cannot record or d isplay the i mage. Try remov-
ing a nd reinserting the m emory card, or u se a different memory card.
-You inserted aMultiMedia Card (MMC) into the c amcorder. Use arecommended memory card
(_ 3S).
-Ifafter the m essage disappears, _
/ _ appearsin red, perform the following: Turn off the
camcorder and removeand reinsert the memory card. If _ / _ turns backto green you can
resume recording/playback. If the problem persists, save your recordings (_ 133) and ini-
tialize the memory card ([._[_140).
Could not add the scene(s) to the playlist
- One or morescenes could not be addedto the playlist. The playlist cancontain a maximum of
999 scenes.If the playlist includesscenes recorded in MXPor FXPmode,the maximum num-
ber of scenes in the playlist may be lessthan 999. Delete some scenesfrom the playlist
(_ 99).
Do not disconnect the USBcable or the power source until you safely end the connection from
the computer. Cannot write data with this connection. To write data to the camcorder,
connect the compact power adapter then reconnect the camcorder and computer.
- The camcorder cannot be operatedwhile it is not being powered by the compact power
adapter and is connectedto a computer with the supplied USB cable. In addition, scenes can-
not be written back and music files cannot betransferred to the camcorder. Toavoid corrupt-
ing the data in the camcorder's memory, use the computer's Safely Remove Hardware
function to end the connectionand disconnectthe USBcable before using the camcorder.
- To be able to write back scenesand to transfer music files to the camcorder,use the com-
puter's Safely RemoveHardwarefunction to end the connection,disconnect the USBcable,
power the camcorder using the compact power adapter and only then connect it to the com-
puter again.

- Whenthe camcorder is in _ mode and is connectedto the computer with the supplied
USB cable, the camcorder cannot be operated. Disconnectingthe USBcable or power source
while this messageappears may result in permanentloss of the recordings in the camcorder.
Usethe computer's Safely RemoveHardware function to end the connection and disconnect
the USB cable before using the camcorder.
- To be able to write back scenesand to transfer music files to the camcorder, power the cam-
corder using the compact power adapter and only then connect it to the computer using the
supplied USBcable.
