Cannot convert
-Cannot access the m emory card. Check the m emory card and make sure itis inserted cor-
rectly.
-You inserted aMultiMedia Card (MMC) into the c amcorder. Use arecommended memory card
(_ 36).
-There was an error creating the f ile name. Set _ _}[Photo Numbering] to [Reset] and
initialize the m emory card or d elete all the p hotos (_ 106) and all the s cenes in the [ For Web
Upload] and [For DVD Burning] index screens (l_[_l 57).
Cannot copy
-The total size of t he s cenes you selected to copy exceeds the a vailable space on memory card
ITI. Deletesome recordingson the memory card (_ 57, 106) or reduce the number of
scenes to copy.
- Memorycard IT! alreadycontains the maximum number of scenes (3,999 scenes). Delete
some scenes (_ 57) to free some space.
Cannot divide the scene. Initialize only using the camcorder.
- The scene could not be divided becausethe camcorder'sinternal scene managementdata log
is full. Save your recordings ([._[_1130) a nd initialize the memory ([._[_1 4 0). Write backthe
backup files and try dividing the scene again.
Cannot edit
- Could not movea scene in the playlist. Deletesome scenes from the playlist (l_[_l99).
Cannot enter standby mode now
- The camcorder cannot enter standby mode if the remaining battery charge is too low. Charge
or replace the battery pack (_ 22).
Cannot play back
- There is a problem with the memory. If this message appearsoften without apparent reason,
contact a CanonService Center.
Cannot play back Cannot access the built-in memory
- There is a problemwith the built-in memory. Saveyour recordings(l_[_J133) and initialize the
built-in memory using the [Complete Initialization[ option (_ 40). If the problem persists,
contact a CanonService Center.
Cannot play back Check the memory card
- There is a problem with the memory card. Save your recordings ([._[_1133) a nd initialize the
memory card using the [Complete Initialization[ option (_ 40). If the problem persists, use a
different memory card.
Cannot play the movies in the built-in memory Initialize only using the camcorder
- The camcorder's built-in memory was initialized using a computer.Initialize the built-in mem-
ory with this camcorder ([._[_1 4 0).
