See Figure 3.
The switch trigger can be locked in the OFF position. This
feature can be used to prevent the possibility of accidenta!
starting when not in use. To Iock switch trigger, piace the
direction of rotation selector (Fo_,ard/Reverse
Selector) in
center position.
NOTE: When seHector is in center position, switch trigger
is Hocked.

WARNING:
Battery tools are atways in operating
condition. Therefore, switch shouHd aiways be Hocked
when not in use or carrying at your side.
TO mNSTALL BATTERY
PACK
See Figures 3 - 4.
Lock switch trigger on your dril! by placing the direction
of rotation selector in center position.
m Place battery pack in your drill. Align raised rib on
battery pack with groove inside drill.
m Make sure the latches on each side of the battery pack
snap in place and battery pack is secured in dril! before
beginning operation.
CAUTION:
When placing battery pack in the drill,
be sure raised rib on battery pack aligns with groove
inside dril! and latches snap into place properly.
Hmproper assembly of battery pack can cause
damage to internal components.

m Lock switch trigger on the dril! by placing the direction
of rotation selector in center position.
m Locate latches on side of battery pack and depress to
release battery pack from the dril!.
m Remove battery pack from the dril!.

To turn your ddll ON, depress the switch trigger. To turn it
OFF, release the switch trigger.
VARmABLE SPEED
See Figure 5.
This tooJ has a variable speed switch that delivers higher
speed and torque with increased trigger pressure. Speed
is controlled by the amount of switch trigger depression.
NOTE: You might hear a whistling or ringing noise from
the switch during use. Do not be concerned, this is a nor-
mal part of the switch function.
