and which components are FRUs.
v If an action step is preceded by "(Trained service technician only)," that step must be performed only by a
trained service technician.

Failed microprocessor test.

System Management: Failed (BMC indicates
failure in I2C bus test)

System Management: Failed (BMC indicates
failure in I2C bus test)

System Management: Failed (BMC indicates
failure in I2C bus test)
Action
1. (Trained service technician only) Reseat
microprocessor 1 if n = 0 or 6.
2. (Trained service technician only) Reseat
microprocessor 2 if n = 1 or 7.
3. Replace the following components one at a time,
in the order shown, restarting the blade server
each time:
a. (Trained service technician only)
Microprocessor 1 if n = 0 or 6
b. (Trained service technician only)
Microprocessor 2 if n = 1 or 7
c. (Trained service technician only) System
board assembly
Shutdown and remove the blade server from the
BladeCenter unit, wait 30 seconds; then, reinstall the
blade server in the BladeCenter unit and restart it. If
problem persists, perform the following tasks in the
order shown, restarting the blade server each time:
1. Remove the cKVM feature card (if installed).
2. Update the BMC firmware.
3. Update the Ethernet controller firmware.
4. (Trained service technician only) Replace the
system board assembly.
Shutdown and remove the blade server from the
BladeCenter unit, wait 30 seconds; then, reinstall the
blade server in the BladeCenter unit and restart it. If
problem persists, perform the following tasks in the
order shown, restarting the blade server each time:
1. Update the BMC firmware.
2. (Trained service technician only) Replace the
system board assembly.
Shutdown and remove the blade server from the
BladeCenter unit, wait 30 seconds; then, reinstall the
blade server in the BladeCenter unit and restart it. If
problem persists, perform the following tasks in the
order shown, restarting the blade server each time:
1. Remove the cKVM feature card (if present).
2. Update the BMC firmware.
