When Problems Occur
Does the machine have sufficient memory?
Erase unnecessary documents and documents with errors from memory to
increase the amount of available memory. (See "Erasing Received Documents,"
on p. 3-11.)
Is there sufficient available memory?

Is the platen glass of the sender's machine clean?
Make a few copies using your machine. If the copies are not streaked, the
problem is in the sender's machine. Contact the sender and ask them to send
the document again.
Are documents being sent at a high resolution?
It is recommended that you send documents containing text only with a lower
resolution. (See "Selecting a Scan Mode," on p. 2-2.)
Is ECM TX or ECM RX set to 'On'?
Set ECM TX and ECM RX to 'Off'. (See "ECM Transmission," on p. 4-6, and
"ECM Reception," on p. 4-20.)
