Starting the System

Restoring the system's resolution if you see a blank screen

If you see a blank screen on your monitor after turning on your system, the DVR's output
resolution may be higher than what your monitor supports. Follow the steps below to
restore the DVR's default resolution to 1024 x 768.
Prerequisite:
• Ensure video and power connections to the monitor and DVR are properly connected.
To restore the DVR's default resolution:

While the system is on, press and hold the Stop button (
the system restarts. The system will 'beep', then restart with the default resolution
of 1024 x 768.
NOTE: If your system resolution is already in 1024 x 768, pressing and holding the Stop
button will not restart the system.

Adjusting the DVR's Output Resolution

For details on configuring the DVR's output resolution, see "Configuring System Video and
Audio settings" on page 49.
NOTE: When adjusting the DVR's output resolution, ensure your monitor supports the
selected resolution. If you select an output resolution greater than what your monitor
supports, you may have to restart the DVR using the steps above.
