Start the operation without selecting an image.
Select an image you want to scale from the dialog box.
The following dialog box appears:
2. From the pull-down list choose the measurement units: pixels, inches or
millimeters.
3.
If you want to save the original file size, then set the Fixed Size in Pixels
checkbox. In this case the image size in pixels is not changed, and you can
modify the image size in millimeters or inches by modifying the resolution.
- or -
Clear the Fixed Size in Pixels checkbox to modify the image size by means of
either adding or deleting the image pixels.
4. Specify a new size in pixels.
Type in the Width or Height boxes the new image width or height. If you enter
any value in one box, then the value in the other box is changed automatically in
order to maintain the image proportion. (If you choose pixels as measurement
units and the Fixed Size in Pixels option is on, then you cannot enter values into
these boxes.)
- or -
Type a percentage scale factor for the image in the Scale box. If the Fixed Size
in Pixels option is on, then the setting of a new size influences the resolution
value. If the Fixed Size in Pixels is off, then the image size in pixels is changed
without changing the resolution.
5. Type the resolution value in dots per inch (dpi) in the Resolution box. If you
choose pixels as measurement units and the Fixed Size in Pixels option is on
and you specify a new resolution value, then the image width and height are
not changed in the Width or Height boxes.
