When tracing raster polylines you can also use the orthogonalization mode. It
allows you to align obtained line segments by the base angle. In the
orthogonalization mode the program will generate a vector polyline consisting of
segments perpendicular and parallel to the direction specified by you or
automatically calculated by the program.

Tracing raster
polyline is also influenced by the parameters Max Width, Max
Break and Approximation that specify the maximum width of a raster line, the size
of ignored breaks and the accuracy of raster line approximation.

When tracing polylines you can use several input options: to enter a keyletter into
the command line, the cursor menu, or the Line Following panel buttons.

We will now describe in detail the procedure for polyline tracing without auto-
detection of tracing direction.
To trace a polyline
1. Run tracing using one of the following methods:
On the Raster to Vector toolbar click the Trace Linefollow button.

From the rConvert menu, choose a tracing mode, and then Linefollow.
If some available raster images are inserted into the picture, then the selection
dialog box appears.
Select an image to be traced from this box.
