Running color separation
When performing the separation procedure, the program creates a separate
monochrome image for each category and places the object points, belonging to
this category on this image. The AutoCAD layers are created in the drawing, on
which new raster images are placed. The layers' names are the same as the
category's names. Images colors are defined according to the symbolic colors of
appropriate categories. New monochrome images are named <Original image
name>_N , where N is an integer number.
You can separate several color raster images into layers simultaneously. If several
images are inserted in the drawing and they are available (visible, located on
unlocked layers), then you need to select a group of raster images performing the
operation.
*
For more detailed information on the selection procedure see "Selecting
Several Images" on page 20.
You can apply layering to images with a clipping boundary. Using this feature, you
can restrict the layered area in any image, specifying its clipping boundary.
*
For information on clipping boundary application see "Using AutoCAD
Clipping Boundary when Selecting a Part of an Image" on page 30.
