Duplicating Parts of an Image

Since raster selection set is an AutoCAD object, you can copy it using the
commands COPY, ARRAY, as well as copy using dragging and the CTRL key.
Raster selection copies become separate raster images. During this operation the
automatic cropping of obtained raster images by the raster data boundary can be
made (by the raster selection of clipping boundary).
* Control on copying operations is performed in the WiseImage tab of the
dialog box of the AutoCAD options dialog, as described on page 38.
Raster images, obtained after copying, are independent from the raster selection
set. This means that separate storage areas are created for these copies where the
raster data is stored, which allows manipulating the raster data of each copy
independently. Thus, when a new copy is created, the extra storage area can
considerably reduce the system performance. For example, when the ARRAY
command runs, several copies are created, and for each copy by default a separate
raster data copy is created. Obviously, in this case the most convenient way is to
create a separate raster storage area for all raster selection copies obtained. The
current copying mode defines if it is necessary to create either separate storage
areas or a single united one.

To duplicate an image part
1. Select the raster data.
2. Specify a boundary of the raster selection to select it as an AutoCAD object.
3. Using the AutoCAD tools, create the required number of raster image copies.
4. Insert the obtained images in other images using the merging operation.
If you do not insert the obtained copies in the existing images, then you have to
save these copies to separate raster files when you finish working with WiseImage.

Example: Deskew part of an image

The following example shows how to deskew a part of an image using the
WiseImage and AutoCAD tools. For this purpose you can use the WiseImage
selection tools and the AutoCAD command ROTATE. In this example we use the
