Setting the Type of CD to be Played
Back (CD/Audio Type)
The RK-300 may be unable to correctly recognize the type of
CD being used. In such instances, you can specify the type of
CD manually.
Setting
Explanation
Auto
The CD type is detected automatically.
Type A
General CDs for Player Piano contain audio
and MIDI data, and the data format may
vary from one CD to the next. If the CD's
data format does not match the RK-300's
Type B
settings, a "beep" will sound. Certain
general Automatic Piano CDs may not be
playable on the RK-300.
Commercial Music CD (CDs other than
Stereo
those designed for use with the player
piano)
• Note that some commercial player piano CDs cannot be
played back on the RK-300.
Synchronizing the Timing of the Piano
and Accompaniment (CD/Audio Sync)
With certain CDs designed to be used with the player
function, the timing of the piano and accompaniment
sounds may not be synchronized. However, you can
synchronize the piano and accompaniment.

When you've connected a CD player to the Roland AUDIO/
VIDEO PORT jacks and are playing back a CD, use this setting
to specify the type of CD.
